going, going, gone!

what a week! after a major shake-up at work last week (which spilled over into this week—causing much discussion and meetings), a sick computer, and mike out of town for a couple of days, i'm more than ready for the long, holiday weekend!
tonight we'll be packing up sam and heading down to visit with mike's family and celebrate a few birthdays. if you wonder which car is ours, just follow the trail of bubbles.

too many meetings/not enough saturdays

work has been insane lately. huzzah for holiday weekends. just three more days to go.

goodies

last night while mike was out of town, sammy and i baked up some goodies for my co-workers who have birthdays this week. we had to stay up a little late to get them finished and wrapped up, and sam was quick to let me know that 9pm was past his bedtime. by the time i got to bed, sam was already waking up for his midnight snack. i think he was hoping for brownies.

three months old!

sammy officially turned three months old yesterday. the time is absolutely flying by. i feel like i need to capture every single day in photographs because he's changing so very fast. and also because i enjoy looking at his cute, little self. i post the following photos as evidence of said cuteness:

a happy mothers' day

my first mothers' day as a mom was pretty sparkly. i got to spend the whole day with my boys - going to church and visiting with grandparents, going for a long, lovely walk/hike at the park, and having dinner with family.

one of my favorite parts was getting to use my new mug from sam and mike. it makes excellent oatmeal. i can't wait to see if it makes good soup too.

being sammy's mom is pretty awesome. i get the best gifts every day - smiles and hugs and chances to give kisses to the cutest little belly - and i'm finally starting to get my mom powers. hurrah!

cold, cold go away

we're all working on banishing a cold at our house. hopefully by tomorrow we'll be sniffle free. for the most part, sam has been the most cheerful of the sickies.

sam's new trick
